Lelowhatsgood (real name Ntsikelelo ‘Lelo’ Zane Meslani) is a young, unapologetically black queer Johannesburg based multi-talented creative. Equipped with many skills and talents, he is fast becoming a creative marvel that is redefining South African queer culture.

He is behind the representation and increased visibility of queer creatives in the entertainment industry in South Africa. As a writer and content creator, Lelo aims to break down societal stereotypes, generalizations, and misconceptions surrounding queer culture. With bylines that include The New York Times, Mail & Guardian and Superbalist’s The Way of Us, and becoming a Senior Editor for Faculty Press, Lelo is becoming an important and sought-after young voice in South Africa.

A true pioneer in his own lane, Lelo changed the face of queer nightlife in Johannesburg by founding ‘Vogue Nights Jozi’ in June 2018. Vogue Nights Jozi is an inclusive, intersectional event and cultural movement that has music, art, and dance at the core of its concept. The event is designed to house and provide safer spaces for the LGBTQI+ community and also serves as a springboard for queer excellence.
