My name is Angelica Izuogu. I am a junior, Health Sciences major from Raleigh, North Carolina currently attending Spelman College.
I am involved on campus with the Health Careers club, Peer Assistant Leaders, African Student's Association, Social Justice Program, as well as a Bonner Scholar. I was awarded the Bonner scholarship for my community engagement and impact.
I am really excited to be apart of this panel discussion on black women’s mental health. I believe this is a discussion that is imperative to improving black women’s overall heath and wellness.
I aspire to become a Pediatrician with a possible sports specialty and absolutely enjoy working with children and families. I aim to serve low-income and marginalized communities with my services.
