afropunk mixtape #053 gets you lifted and centered

The burnout is real. In a world determined to beat down everything unique and real in you, and make you feel like progress is impossible, taking steps to keep your body, mind, and spirit healthy is an act of defiance. Radical self-care is the practice of taking space for yourself, not just for yourself, but to maintain the strength to fight for justice. This month, we celebrate artists who make the struggle for mental and emotional wellbeing a core part of their art. From rising stars like Abdu Ali to legends like Saul Williams, and the recently departed Omar Higgins of Negro Terror. This is our art therapy.
