Crazy as cat shit, former celebrity singer R. Kelly lost his goddamn mind during an interview with Gayle King last night and boy was it something. When asked straight-up about the allegations against him, Kelly spiraled into a self-pitying erratic diatribe. Gesturing wild and beating on his chest, Kelly shouted deflections and stomped around the staged interview room like a, you know, an abuser. And the whole thing was pretty amusing to watch! The tears, the theatrics! Such showmanship. Unfortunately, crocodile tears probably won’t be enough to help R. Kelly avoid the charges Chicago police filed against him on February 22 with 10 counts of felony aggravated sexual assault, to which Kelly has pled not guilty.

The gag is, R. Kelly has been completely unrepentant for the systematic abuse he is accused of. Even going as far as releasing a troll track, “I Admit It,” where he rubbed his alleged abuse and celebrity immunity in our faces for 15 minutes. He’s been smug, condescending and unapologetic this entire time, yet suddenly he is the victim and he’s being buried. Keep that same energy, girl!
