gay fathers kordale & kaleb and their kids star in major fashion campaign

When Atlanta couple Kordale Lewis and Kaleb Anthony posted this photo of themselves doing their daughter’s hair in 2014 on Instagram, the beautiful expression of a modern Black queer family immediately went viral:
Being fathers is getting our daughters up at 5:30 am making breakfast getting them dressed for school and putting them on the bus by 6:30 .This is a typical day in our household . It’s not easy but we enjoy every moment and eveny minute of #fatherhood . #proudfathers #blackfathers #prouddads #gaydads
Since then, the family has built a large following, their star eventually grabbing the attention of high-end fashion brand Acne Studios, who has made the family the face of its Fall/Winter 2017 campaign.
The brand’s founder, Jonny Johansson, wrote that the campaign is “a way of highlighting that while every family is different, we all have the same love and want the best for our children. There is no ‘normal’ family — all families are normal,” on Acne’s website.
“When we first saw the pictures, we were amazed. We actually saw the reel at the shooting and the kids loved them, especially the girls,” the couple told Mic. “The girls want to be in front the camera, they would love to model and we’re trying to get them into it.”
