video premiere: ny emcee radhamusprime tears into misogynistic hotep culture in hilarious new video ‘hoteps hotepping’

May 10, 2016

Some of y’all aren’t gonna like this. And that’s too bad because it’s hilarious and lit. In the brand new video for her single ‘Hoteps Hotepping’, NYC native RadhaMUSprime (and Isa Starr) tear into the Ambassadors of Black Rhetoric aka pseudo-scientific Hotep culture that, to many of us, is riddled with ignorance, hypocrisy, and misogyny. Not sure who I’m talking about? Well, you might find these ‘Noteps’ mansplaining to women about how to be “Queens” (i.e. by behaving how they think we should behave) or telling other people of the African diaspora how to appropriately be African. You know, nonsense like that. “A few weeks ago, I saw some dude proselytizing to Black women about their menstrual cycles. I had to respond! Clearly I’m influenced by another era of Hip Hop so while I’m chewing Noteps out, I’m paying homage to some of my Hip Hop heroes,“ RadhaMUSprime tells AFROPUNK.

‘Hoteps Hotepping’ features the hilarious Sheaun McKinney, from HBO’s upcoming comedy ‘Vice Principals’. Definitely check it out down below!
