A member of the critically acclaimed Canadian rap group The Posterz, underground hip-hop artist Husser is now bursting onto the scene with the video for the lead single from his first solo project, Geto Rock For The Youth EP, due out November 15th.

“Paintings For The Blind”, one of the project’s standout tracks, finds the rapper returning to his family’s homeland of Saint-Vincent, celebrating the life and culture of the island.

“The inspiration, was 90s pop rock and grunge,” Husser explained. “[I] wanted to bring feelings of nostalgia. Produced by me, Jason Brando, Ariane Mclernon and Joey Sherrett at Cult Nation. I started this beat, took it to my label and they made it real with the live instruments and all. The song is one whole live take.”

An atmospheric ode to both perseverance and contentment, “Paintings For The Blind” is a reflection of the carefree life Husser remembers in Saint-Vincent, a feeling he hopes to bring into his own future.

“The message of the song: being content, and grateful but still hungry,” the rapper says, “I feel is something reflected everyday in life out there that people can learn from and get their eyes a bit more open.”
