Nascido em Salvador, Diogo Alvaro Ferreira Moncorvo, 23 anos, também conhecido como Baco Exu Do Blues, explodiu em 2016, após o lançamento de sua faixa “Sulicídio”, que criticou o cenário do rap brasileiro por se concentrar no Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo, e reivindicar representação para outros estados brasileiros. Este ano, o rapper baiano venceu o Grand Prix do festival Cannes Lions, um dos mais importantes do mercado publicitário, com o curta "Bluesman". O álbum e o filme receberam uma série de prêmios e geraram 20 milhões de visualizações no YouTube e um aumento de 495% nos ouvintes mensais do artista no Spotify. O filme provocou um novo debate importante sobre o racismo institucionalizado e inspirou um movimento nacional pelo qual as pessoas se identificam como 'Bluesman' em apoio à mensagem do Baco Exu do Blues.

This year The rapper from Bahia, won the Grand Prix of the Cannes Lions festival, one of the most important in the advertising market, with the short film "Bluesman".
