AFROPUNK expands to new cities

February 15, 2022

The global events and marketing agency, AFROPUNK, has announced the return of live festivals across four cities in the US. Held annually since 2005, the festival has established itself as a celebration of black culture that embraces diverse cultures and connects the African diaspora through music, food, fashion, film, and storytelling.

For 2022 AFROPUNK will return to their original stomping grounds in Brooklyn for the festival and will introduce Planet AFROPUNK Live experiences in Miami, Oakland and Minneapolis throughout the year.

This year’s overall theme for AFROPUNK poses a question to the community that is “What Is Blackness To You”, a call to action for the people to re-define what being Black means to them.  AFROPUNK has stated that the safety and health of their staff and attendees is a top priority, therefore everyone will have to adhere to the updated Covid-19 protocols at all times.

Dates, locations, artist lineup, and ticket information will be made available soon on www.afropunk.com
