here’s why tems’ new ep “if orange was a place” was worth the wait.

September 17, 2021

This Wednesday (09/15/2021), Nigerian-born Afrobeats singer, Tems delivered an impressive follow-up EP “If Orange Was A Place”. For the past year, we’ve been watching her projection to stardom and with this new EP, her trajectory continues to soar higher!. With a total of five songs, the EP is a perfect teaser for fans. Hopefully, we get a full-length project soon! The timing for Tems to drop couldn’t be more perfect. Two weeks ago she featured on Drake’s “Fountains” off of his Certified Lover Boy record, and in the next week, she’s slated for her debut performance in the US at AFROPUNK ATLANTA. The EP opens up with the single “Crazy Tings” which sets the tone with Tems’ signature flow. The only feature on the EP is American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz, who lends his voice to the Jonah Christian-produced song, “Found”. Ever since her feature on Wizkid’s “Essence”, Tems has been flying the Nigerian flag high, and with the recent signing to Since ’93/ RCA Records, the world has started to notice this shining star. With the world looking to AFRICA for the new wave, it’s incredible to see artists such as Tems at the forefront of this movement.

Overall, “If Orange Was A Place” is a perfect offering to keep fans busy until we get a full-length album from Tems. You can stream the new EP right below and we can’t wait to see her perform some of the songs live at the Target-powered “UNCONTAINED” stage at AFROPUNK ATLANTA.
