We asked our talented creative AFROPUNK community to submit their work to our platform during these turbulent times. (EMAIL US: contribute@afropunkworldwide.com)

We’ve received an influx of amazing visual art, writing, spoken word, music, fashion and more so far! We look forward to sharing them with you throughout this COVID_19 quarantine period on afropunk.com and our social platforms.

Meet photographer Se7en who has captured the “S U B L I M E” and “E T H E R E A L” in this series.

On “Sublime” –
While creating “Sublime”, I rediscovered my passion for creating images and concluded that art is mindless. I wanted to capture the definition of sublime as the process of creating and being transported to the realm of creativity where thoughts and concerns no longer exist. I remain in awe of this feeling and I continuously seek it in every piece of art that I create.

On “Ethereal” –
My “Ethereal” series was my deliberate way to continue showcasing black beauty and the essence of being black. While my lenses may be biased, I stand with the notion that black women are out of this world hence this series “Ethereal”.
