quinton brock looks at the man in the mirror
It’s rare to hear a song about holding one’s self accountable — but that’s exactly what singer-songwriter Quinton Brock has done with his new track, “All Falls On Me.” The brief, melancholy piece features a chopped-up keyboard sample and a stuttering, broken-beat drum pattern courtesy of producer Nelson Bandela. On the song Brock is confessional: “I’ve been wastin’ my time/ caught up in a lie/ but that all falls on me.” At just a minute and twenty seconds, it’s a bite-sized appetizer for Brock’s forthcoming project, My Shadow, which promises to be an even deeper bit of introspection.
