all eyes on the atlanta child murders in hbo’s new docu-series

Having led the way on true crime documentaries over the last decade or so with series like The Jinx, There’s Something Wrong with Aunt Diane, and last year’s Leaving Neverland, HBO has found its next story in the Atlanta Child Murders.

Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children centers around the two-year period when more than 30 Black children and young people were abducted and/or murdered in Atlanta. Wayne Williams was tried and convicted for two of those gruesome murders, but to this day maintains his innocence.

In March of 2019, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms re-opened the case.

Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children will premiere on April 5 on HBO.
