meet the djs of afropunk joburg
AFROPUNK Joburg isn’t just a festival for live musicians, but for great DJs as well. Almost more than any other AFROPUNK festival around the world, it is an opportunity for DJs to set off a dancefloor. And on New Year’s Eve, no less. What better place and time to enjoy house, hip-hop, amapiano, disco, ballroom, the sounds of Brazilian funk or Southern funk. The DJs of AFROPUNK Joburg got all that. Get to know what they’re about to bring.
DJ mOma – Raised in Queens, Mohamed Hamad is a New York hero and one of the principles of the great, genre-free Everyday People party.

Gina Jeanz – Gina Mwoombola is one of the hottest future beats DJ/producers in South Africa, flipping hip-hop classics and dembow beats with flair.
