frank, a club night, and a purpose

Frank Ocean has created a safe space via his creative brand Blonded called PrEP+. His first event will be a club night (we want to go!), hosted tonight (that’s today!) in New York City (where we live!). The location is still unknown (please tell us!). 

He named the experience after the HIV-prevention drug, pre-exposure prophylaxis, aka PrEP. The event is rooted in a beautiful sentiment, “an homage to what could have been the 1980’s NYC club scene the drug PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) — which can be taken daily to prevent HIV/AIDs for those who are not infected but are at high risk — had been invented in that era.”

To ensure the experience be the best it can possible be there are of course, rules. No photos, no videos, and of course, zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or discrimination of any kind. The event makes it clear that consent is mandatory. 

Ain’t nothing cooler then a party with a purpose.
