In the fantastical reality that FKA Twigs’s videos begat, space is shared by the personal and the allegorical, by the sensual and the otherworldly. And the Andrew Thomas Huang-directed clip for “Cellophane” is no different. The incredible physicality of her dance feeds into the extreme imagination of the setting and yet the song — a simple lover’s plea: “us against the world” — brings the whole narrative back to a familiar place. This is what Twigs does.
