remembering the bird luger: kevin barnett

January 24, 2019

This week we lost a young staple of the comedy world, Kevin Barnett.

The very accomplished 32-year-old was co-creator of Fox’s Rel, as well as a writer, producer and stand-up comic. With his passing came a flood of loving words from his peers and a look back at his funniest moments. It’s clear that Barnett had real impact on those around him and will be greatly missed. We’ve compiled some ways you can celebrate Barnett’s work and keep his legacy alive and well.

Celebrate his writing!

Kevin’s writing credits are pretty damn impressive. He wrote on some of our favorite comedy shows including his very own, Rel, The Eric Andre Show,  Broad City, Lucas Bros Moving Co, and The Carmichael Show.

Watch his stand up!

Known also for his stand-up and overall charming personality, check out some videos of Barnett owning the comedy stage.

Check out his sketch comedy!

Check him out on his friend’s shows!

Barnett has been showered by love from the comedy world this week.

If you are in the NYC area please join the Lucas Bros & The Bell House at their benefit show for Kevin. All proceeds will go to Kevin’s memorial fund and to his family. Get your tickets HERE.
