little simz gets ‘selfish’ in new visual, announces album
UK rapper Little Simz is staking her claim in 2019 with the announcement of her third album GREY Area. Due out March 1st, the AFROPUNK alumni is teasing the project with a dope new track “Selfish,” featuring Cleo Sol.
“No one warned me it was going to be this hard,” she told BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac. “It feels like a grey area — which is why I called the album that. I definitely feel like this is my best work.”
A punchy, vintage-inspired track, “Selfish” is infectious as hell with Little Simz’s effortless flow intermixed with Cleo Sol’s breathy vocals making for an infectious lil’ jam. Peep the Ngatho Cole-directed visual, below.
“Selfish” is the third track taken from GREY Area — out March 1 on Little Simz’s own label Age 101 — following “101FM,” “Offence” and “Boss.”
