Naomi is one of DC Comics’ newest additions and, with only one issue in pre-sale, the book is already making waves.
Following the adventures of a young Black woman named Naomi, the story opens with a fight between Superman and Mongul when they crash into a small Northwestern town near Portland. The presence of these supernatural beings trigger Naomi to dig into the last time this occurred and whether or not it has something to do with her own origins and adoption. Set in the heart of the DC Universe, Naomi’s story unfolds “a universe of ideas and stories that have never been seen before.” Co-written by Miles Morales co-creator Brian Michael Bendis and David Walker, with artwork by Jamal Campbell, Naomi’s journey begins Jan. 23.
