Post-Rosanne life is going swell for actress-writer-comedian Wanda Sykes, according to Deadline. Sykes has penned a deal with Netflix for an hour-long special for the streaming giant. Produced by Sykes and Page Hurwitz’s Push It Productions, it is slated for a 2019 global release. Although the currently-untitled performance is Sykes’ fifth stand-up special, it’s her first for Netflix. The Black-ish actress has won an Emmy for her outstanding writing on The Chris Rock Show, and received nominations for I’ma Be Me, her 2009 stand-up special for HBO.
Sykes & Hurwitz’s Push It was formed in 2012, and has been the driving force behind the successful revival of the NBC program Last Comic Standing.
