barry jenkins reveals a long trailer for james baldwin adaptation ‘if beale street could talk’

In celebration of the what would have been James Baldwin’s 94th birthday, ‘Moonlight’ director Barry Jenkins just unveiled the teaser trailer for ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’. Jenkins talked about the film on ‘Dear White People’ creator Justin Simien’s podcast ‘Don’t @ Me’, stating that test audiences called the film ‘Black as hell!’. Regina King is in the movie.

From what we’ve seen in the trailer, we couldn’t agree more…
