no indictment for wealthy democratic donor in the death of sex worker gemmel moore

In the normal world, if you’re involved in someone’s untimely death you pay a consequence for that. Unless, of course, the dead person in question is a black sex worker and the suspected party is a rich white man. In the fatal overdose of Gemmel Moore, L.A. prosecutors have declined to file charges against prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck for Moore’s 2017 overdose at Buck’s West Hollywood home.

However, Buck allegedly had a history of abusing young Black men with drugs.

Prosecutors cited insufficient evidence in court documents, claiming that the “admissible evidence is insufficient to prove beyond a reasonable doubt” that Buck gave Moore the drugs or was otherwise responsible for his death.
