Hygiene on Wheels (HOW) in Toronto is the community-centric, possibilities-making organization created by founder and CEO Deborah Daniel. “Canada’s first mobile hygiene unit,” HOW is an org that works vigorously to restore dignity and hope in people who have been impacted by homelessness by providing them with essential services, like hot showers, shoes, and clean clothes. These are basic necessities that people who have not experienced homelessness take for granted. Helping others meet their basic needs brings comfort and can boost the self-esteem of people living on the streets.
