‘A Room Full of Black Boys’ is a collaborative portraits project between Toronto—based Olueseye and Jah Grey who spent two weeks together photographing men all across Toronto. Then, these fantastic photos become vivid, hyper-realistic portraits courtesy of Oluseye’s signature pastel, chalk and acrylic workings on top. Truly staggering in their realism and precision technique, these multi-media portraits were inspired by the need to create beautiful images of both cisgender and transgender men of color through a gaze devoid of toxic masculinity.

The first showing of A Room Full of Black Boys was majorly impactful for the artists and local community and not Jah Grey is raising funds to expand the project and exhibit it across the United States. Learn more about supporting this project, here.
