a ‘boondocks’ video game is coming!

A few years after the much-loved tv series ended, The Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder hoped on Facebook to announce to fans that the series will be returning in an unexpected way to celebrate the rich and complex world he created 20 years ago

“A few months ago I started playing with the idea of video games – something I always wanted to do but never made the time for. It’s a medium that feels right for our violently turbulent times, and right for The Boondocks.”

But before fans get carried away, McGruder stressed that the planned video game won’t be as fully realized as the tv show was, but a new opportunity for the show’s characters and themes to be explored in a new media.
