Created from the mind of visual artist Frank Morrison, these illustrations pay homage to the Black American experience and moments in Black American popular culture. Inspirational at times, and quirky always, Morrison’s view of Black identity is amplified by the use of a bright kaleidoscope of color and playful brush strokes. Jumping back and forth between oil paints, watercolors, and ink, Morrison uses many different mediums to bring to life these joyous characters.
