childish gambino has an album on the way!

2018 is the year of Donald Glover! In addition to the return of his hit series Atlanta, and starring role in the Star Wars spinoff Solo, the actor/singer/writer/rapper’s musical alias Childish Gambino has just announced a partnership with RCA for a new recording deal!

Gambino’s agency Wolf + Rothstein, which helped create the star’s last album Awaken My Love! which was nominated for five Grammy awards, will also be a part of the partnership. Gambino is slated to perform at the Grammy Awards on January 28.

“Donald is undoubtedly one of the most talented, multi-faceted, young entertainers of this era,” RCA Chairman/CEO Peter Edge said in a statement. “We are excited to join forces with him and Wolf + Rothstein to usher in the next phase of Childish Gambino’s musical career.”

Added Glover: “It was a necessary change of pace.”
