In an alternative universe set in present-day Oakland, a black telemarketer named Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) lands on the secret of professional success and is thrust into a dark world of corporate sleaze.

Partially inspired by the world of telemarketing and the acclaimed concept album of the same name released by Riley’s band, The Coup in 2012, ‘Sorry to Bother You’ is an absurdist dark comedy with magical realism and sci-fialso that stars Tessa Thompson (‘Westworld’, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’), Armie Hammer (‘Call Me by Your Name’), Steven Yeun (‘The Walking Dead’), Jermaine Fowler, Omari Hardwick (‘Power’), Terry Crews (‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’), Danny Glover (being Danny Glover), David Cross, and Patton Oswalt.

Score by Tune-Yards and soundtrack by The Coup, ‘Sorry to Bother You’ will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2018. Stay tuned for the first trailer.
