jordan peele explains the sunken place to students during surprise visit to ucla black horror class!
Earlier this year, we reported that My Soul To Keep filmmaker and professor Tananarive Due, who for several years has taught a course on Afrofuturism at UCLA, is now teaching a course titled ‘The Sunken Place: Racism, Survival, and Black Horror Aesthetic,” based on the 2017 film Get Out.
The historic class on Jordan Peele’s record-breaking film drew buzz across the country, and with the start of the new school year, has finally debuted. Apparently, it did not disappoint!
On Thursday, Professor Due posted a series of tweets detailing the Get Out director’s surprise visit to her class:
