jessica williams cast in “harry potter” spin-off “fantastic beasts”
When J.K. Rowling announced there would be no more Harry Potter books, we all mourned. Thankfully, however, this didn’t mean no more stories in the Harry Potter world, and the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them spin-off appeased our thirst for wizardry.
And now that world is expanding, with casting for the sequel taking off, full-steam. Joining the all-star cast of Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler, The Incredible Jessica James‘ Jessica Williams will also be in the film in an unspecified roll.
According to Pottermore, the actress and comedian joins Wolf Roth as a character called Spielman, Call the Midwife star Victoria Yeates as Bunty, Derek Riddell as Torquil Travers, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Rosier, and Cornell S John as Arnold Guzman. Earlier this year, the site also confirmed that Jude Law would be joining the film as Albus Dumbledore, who is set to ‘team up’ with Newt Scamander (Redmayne) in order to take down Dark wizard Grindelwald, played by Johnny Depp. Zoë Kravitz’s role as Leta Lestrange will also expand. She appeared only in a photograph in the first film but will now be a full-fledged character.
The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is slated for release 16 November 2018.
