south african photog tony gum exhibits introspective portrait series at cape town gallery

The fabulous work of South African artist Tony Gum is now showing at to Cape Town’s Christopher Moller Gallery. Gum, a photographer and visual artist, creates referential self-portrait series where she pays homage to pay homage to great female artists like Frida Kahlo and style icons like Twiggy. Her current exhibition, ‘Ode To She’ is an exploration of one’s own personal history and identity:

“I believe in honouring our individual truths. Our ability to pause, reflect, connect and celebrate that which makes each of us whole means we are better placed to recognise and respect this essence in others,” says Gum.

Tony Gum’s “Ode To She” will be on exhibition at Christopher Moller Gallery until November 3rd.
