body positivity gets pop-art treatment by illustrator nyanza d.
Clearly (and awesomely) inspired by pop artist Roy Lichtenstein’s comic-influenced paintings and lithographs, visual artist Nyanza D. is turning her portraits into body positive, cheeky conversations about life as a contemporary woman for her ‘Monchi’ series. Through these expressive portraits, the London-based artist deals with themes of femininity, identity, and freedom.
