esperanza spalding heads to harvard as music professor

Experimental jazz goddess Esperanza Spalding is heading to Harvard University as the Music Department’s Professor of the Practice, starting this month. The position entails a range of courses in songwriting, performance, arranging, and improvisation, “while also bringing her commitment to music as a voice for social justice.” Boom shakalaka!
