video premiere: progressive metal rocker militia vox drops supernatural thriller ‘this is she’

January 13, 2017

Like we’ve come to expect from the post-industrial NYC rocker, Militia Vox’s newest release ‘This Is She’ is an ominous visual/art installation stacked with spooky vibes. Paying homage to cult-classics like Poltergeist and the Nightmare on Elm Street, ‘This Is She’ is a psychological thriller about a supernatural (and erotic) encounter with the paranormal. “Feminine sexuality is so intricate,” Militia Vox tells AFROPUNK. “It usually requires a setting or a scene, and layers of subconscious stimulus- often times more vital than the physical- for it to really be good. I find that potential, curiosity and discoveries more erotic than just size, shape and feel; even though the body is programmed to instinctually want and desire certain touches. And with each sexual experience, there are past encounters that typically aren’t shared verbally but they are still very much present… locked inside of the skin and the mind. They become embedded in the essence of the sex. THIS IS SHE embodies these energies.”
