california’s the marine rapper forges metal and trap music to deliver nonstop bangers

January 5, 2017

If the essence of punk is resistance and unapologetic truth telling, then Oceanside, California’s The Marine Rapper is about as punk as it gets. The newly minted rhymeslayer is a a U.S. Marine Corps Combat veteran with bars for days. Instead of getting a four year degree like most vets, after serving for almost a decade in the Marine Corps, he used his education benefits to attend the Los Angeles Recording School, where he attained an Associates Degree in Music Production. Now he plans to use what he learned to enhance his storytelling in a yet to be named album expected later this year where he’ll detail his struggles with the after effects of war. Stream two of his music videos below & get to know the man behind the bullets and boots on his website.
