Heavily inspired by the seminal punk band Bad Brains, Pay to Cum is the ATL hardcore outfit aiming to take up the reins and push hardcore punk Blackness into the future. Their style is true to their forefathers Bad Brains, even naming themselves after their first single and blending reggae tracks with hardcore. With covers of Youth of Today and Underdog, it’s clear that their inspiration is rooted in the late 80s, early 90s age of hardcore.

Local outlet Immersive Atlanta had this to say about a Pay to Cum performance: “”Opening with a sample from ’90s hip-hop duo and Gang Starr associates Group Home, “Pay To Cum” carries elements of everything that makes the band worth paying attention to — breakneck riffs, turn-on-a-dime tempo changes, lyrical bloodletting, and allusions to black culture that exist outside the normal peripheries of hardcore and punk.” It’s clear that this group is hellbent on standing on the shoulders of punk giants and it’s already starting to pay off. Pay attention, Pay to Cum is going places.
