senegalese photographer omar victor diop goes full art deco in editorial for madame figaro october issue
With exhibitions throughout Europe and magazines knocking down his door to bring the continent’s perspective into their art direction, Omar Victor Diop is becoming one of the most sought after creatives that West Africa has to offer. In his new editorial with French magazine Madame Figaro, he brings a fresh perspective to his photographs of an art deco inspired spread, using the colors to guide and frame each shot with an unmatched attention to detail. Each picture’s composition is immaculately designed, from the angles to the positioning to the model’s body, in true Diop fashion. See the photos below and head over to Madame Figaro for the full spread.
