October 20, 2016

Don’t be fooled by the start to “Alleviate,” by the end you’ll have been shaken to your core by Sonïtus’ energy and vocal prowess. The mellow intro to this track sets the perfect stage for an intense awakening at its end, complete with pulsating rhythms and a chorus of blistering, yet melodic voices bringing a unbelievable intensity to the track. Sonïtus’ was brought together by a passion for prog, alt-rock and adventurism and also bonded by their exceptional musicianship. The band’s dexterity endows their songs with a distinctively expressive touch, where intricate passages, dynamic textures and raw power lend the material sensitivity, colour and heft. The quintet’s debut EP, ‘Kleptocracy’ is a seven-song testament to this, showcasing a band unafraid to weave threads of R&B and urban UK sound into their politically driven progressive metal, and “Alleviate” is a perfect example of that mindset. Enjoy “Alleviate” below!
