‘forthright’ photography book features 43 hip-hop musicians around the globe using their voices against oppression
‘FORTHRIGHT’ is a photography book project created by Artist Sascha Krau that features 43 musicians around the world who use their platform to fight against oppression. For the past few years, Krau has traveled to 13 countries in search of rap music that can be seen as a push for positive change, socially and politically. ‘FORTHRIGHT’ is an impressive 444 pages in length and features a bevy of unique portraits, images, interviews and an accompanying double vinyl featuring a selection of songs from the project’s featured artists, like Criolo of Brazil, Darryl McDaniels of Run D.M.C., South Sudan’s Emmanuel Jal, Senegalese rapper Sister Fa, and many more.
