new music: post-hardcore quintet louder than quiet sharpens their swords on ‘living nocturnal’ #soundcheck

August 12, 2016

It’s been 3 years since Maryland based post hardcore quintet Louder Than Quiet’s last EP. Their latest, the 4 track Living Nocturnal finds the band sharpening their swords. The heavy moments are heavier, the pretty moments are prettier, and “Come To The Darkside, We Have Cookies” is still an amazing song title, benefiting greatly from the re-recording. The proggier additions help the band sell the emotional strength, while thrash elements work their way in to the edges. This is the kind of fist-to-the-gut record that needs to be heard live, so the band is headed on a US tour with stops all over the south and midwest.
