“Dear Officer” is a brand new track by singer V. Bozeman and rapper Young Lyfe that seemingly touches right at the core of police brutality by addressing the humanity of police officers directly. Inspired by the unjust murders of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and the subsequent protests across the States and the UK, “Dear Officer” is a plea for justice and the end to the state-sponsored ultra-violence that’s disproportionately aimed to poor communities and communities of color.
