new music: experimental rocker andy miles masterfully blends hip-hop and rock in insanely listenable new track ‘hip roll’
Born in Milan, Italy- now based in London, Andy Miles is grasping hold of all his influences to create a musical melting pot. With The Connectors- his explosive two member band with drummer Danny Bradshaw- being recently announced to perform at AFROPUNK London this September, his work is reaching new heights. Other than dominating the underground Rock n Roll scene, Andy Miles’ latest track ‘Hip Roll’ consciously melds the contrasting cultures of his ancestry. ‘Laying raw, powerful rock’n’roll guitar over a sexy & hypnotic hip hop beat, Andy Miles embraces the roots of both black and white culture that run in his blood’. Pulling his inspiration from legends like: Jim Morrison, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, etc., Miles places heavy emphasis on his lyrics- insuring that his message is translated properly, all while offering a rhythmic concoction that can appeal to anyone. Look out for him in London with The Connectors, and check out ‘Hip Roll’ below.
