afropunk premiere: maryland-based future-soul duo april + vista drop mesmerizing ‘note to self’ ep

July 28, 2016

Fall in love with future-soul duo April + VISTA and their uniquely refreshing EP ‘Note to Self’. Bound together by an experimental thread, ‘Note to Self’ is a musical kaleidoscope of soul-driven vocals, swirling melodies, and intergalactic sound effects. ‘Note to Self’ is brilliantly heady, enveloping listeners in a warm blanket of soulful introspective and curiosity. “Note To Self is a story of perseverance, self-discovery, and vulnerability. As musicians on the rise, we’ve seen just as many obstacles as we’ve seen victories; we learned that it takes great bravery to realize the power in vulnerability. This rings true in all aspects of life, so our goal is to share our experiences with others in hopes that they can apply our findings to their own personal lives,” the band tells AFROPUNK.
