new music: kami awori (formerly caramelbrown) pay tribute to black lives matter with electro-r&b ep ‘lunation’

June 15, 2016

KAMI AWORI, AFROPUNK Paris Battle of the Bands competitors, formerly known as CaramelBrown, share their new EP ‘Lunation’. ‘Lunation’ is bite-sized, three track electro-R&B release that was inspired by, and pays tribute to, the post-Ferguson black liberation movement. “Our songs were directly inspired by stories of police brutality (Aiyana Jones, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin) so naturally, our goal is to share their political & spiritual messages with as many people as possible,” the duo, who has made the EP free to download, says.
