feature: genre-bending synthwave brooklyn duo kobu create unexpected harmony

KoBU are a genre-bending synthwave duo out of Brooklyn making dark synthesized, minimalistic electronic music. KoBu is a fusion of several different genres, but usually not at once. Verse one could be the introduction to the song’s atmosphere, verse two, a smooth sprint-of-a-rap verse, followed by jazzy female folk vocals. This kinda sounds like a mess, but what KoBu gets right is using their different sounds to compliment each other and not to overpower. Ethereal female vocals layered on top of darkly cinematic synths seem to flow seamlessly into melodic bars.
