Art
feature: exploring identity and heritage – the work of british visual artist joyce treasure
Take a look at the art of Joyce Treasure (aka joy2see) – a London based artist who uses collage, print, and acrylic, to explore identity and heritage; drawing from her experiences as a mixed race woman of Jamaican and British heritage. The mixed media artist states: “Life is an experiment!! And art is an expressive love affair. At the heart of my practice is an interest in human behaviour, relationships, how we communicate, social issues and our relationship with identities and how these correspond with the source of our being.” Check out her work below. Also, see more of Joyce Treasure’s creations at the TRIBE15 art festival in London; and purchase any pieces at North Cross Road market in Dulwich every saturday.
