new music: prince harvey’s new single, ‘the new black’

Listen to the new single from Prince Harvey – ‘The New Black’. The single comes from the rapper’s forthcoming album ‘PHATASS’ (out July 6th), acronym for “Prince Harvey At The Apple Store Soho”. Harvey recorded and produced the LP on demo computers at the Apple Store as he didn’t have a computer of his own, and tells us: “I made all the beats on the album with my voice because I wanted to stress the idea of the voice as our most important instrument, and give people the feeling that any one voice can do amazing things.” Also, in regards to the album’s subject matter, Harvey states: “Most of the themes in the album are about triumph through perseverance and making it in NYC, believing in yourself, dispelling the haters, love, sex, overcoming depression and just being a general boss. It’s like a glimpse into the life of a downtown ‘it’ boy, versed in the streets, with his sights aimed at higher heights.” Get into the new single below.
