Take a look at new reparations documentary ‘The Price of Memory’. The film directed by Jamaican filmmaker Karen Marks Mafundikwa explores “the legacy of slavery in Jamaica by tracing the movement for slavery reparations catalyzed by Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to Jamaica in 2002”. Check out the trailer below! And if you’re in New York next week, there will be a screening of the film at Brooklyn Museum (Saturday, June 13 at 2pm) as part of the CaribBEING’s Heritage Film Series – free with museum admission.
