cops abuse of power at texas pool party

WTF? A police officer in McKinney, Texas, has been caught on camera pinning a 14 year-old African-American girl to the ground at a pool party, as well as pointing his gun at other black teenagers. The officer, now suspended, was called to the party following an altercation between the teens and a white woman who hurled racist abuse at the group – punching one of them in the face. The teens had been removed from the party when the incident took place, reportedly under false grounds. Miles Jai Thomas, who was among them, has spoken to the Huffington Post about what happened. He says that after trying to help his friend who was being pinned down, “a cop yelled ‘get those motherfuckers’ and they chased [us] with guns out. That’s why in the video I started running.” He adds, “I was scared because all I could think was, ‘Don’t shoot me’”. This craziness has to stop!
