Happy birthday to Marvin Gaye! Often referred to as the “Prince of Soul”, Gaye is recognised for shaping the sound of Motown Records​ and for influencing many sub genres of R&B. Today he would have been 76.

Sadly, yesterday was the anniversary of the musician’s untimely death – fatally shot by his father on April 1st 1984.
